Where To Find Shellos In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond

Where To Find Shellos In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond

Shellos: The Adorable Sea Slug of Sinnoh

Okay, let's talk about Shellos. That cute little sea slug that everyone either loves or forgets exists. But seriously, aren't they just precious? I think so! Finding them in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, though? That can feel like a treasure hunt.

We're on a mission. A mission to find these delightful creatures. No more wandering aimlessly! Let's get down to brass tacks.

East Sea vs. West Sea: A Shellos Geography Lesson

Here's a fun fact: Shellos comes in two flavors! Pink (West Sea) and blue (East Sea). They look so different! Think of it as having vanilla and chocolate. Both are delicious. Both are still Shellos. Brilliant Diamond features the West Sea variant.

This is important! Because knowing this narrows our search considerably.

The Route to Shellos Success

So, where do we find these rosy rascals? Simple. It's all about the water. Think bodies of water. Think surfing. Think fishing (maybe...sort of...depending).

Your best bets are along Route 205, Route 218, Route 219, Route 220, and Route 221. That's a lot of routes! Start surfing. Shellos should pop up.

Valley Windworks is also a good spot. Near the water, obviously. Keep your eyes peeled! These Pokemon love hanging around this area.

Don't forget Floaroma Meadow and its surrounding areas! Some water access can yield a Shellos or two.

Essentially, hug the western coast. If there's water, there's a chance. Maybe.

Fishing? Maybe Not.

Now, about fishing... It is possible to fish for Shellos. But is it efficient? In my humble, possibly unpopular opinion: No! Surfing is much, much faster. Save the fishing rod for something else. Like Magikarp. (Just kidding... mostly.)

Increase Your Odds: The Poke Radar and Sweet Scent

Want to boost your chances? Then consider these tactics! Okay, the Poke Radar isn't available until post-game. But keep it in mind. This is the best way to chain for a shiny Shellos, if you're into that sort of thing.

Sweet Scent is your friend! It forces wild encounters. No need to wander aimlessly. Just plop down near the water and spam that Sweet Scent! Shellos will come crawling (or, you know, floating) to you.

A Word of Shellos Caution (Sort Of)

Be patient! Shellos isn't the most common Pokemon. It might take a little while. Don't get discouraged! Keep surfing. Keep using Sweet Scent. Your little pink friend will eventually appear.

My Unpopular Shellos Opinion

Okay, confession time! Here's my truly unpopular Shellos opinion: I think it's cuter than Gastrodon. There, I said it! Don't get me wrong, Gastrodon is cool. But Shellos has that simple, charming appeal. Plus, it's pink! Who doesn't love pink?

Happy Shellos Hunting!

So there you have it! Your guide to finding the wonderful, adorable West Sea Shellos in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond. Now go forth and catch 'em all... or at least a few Shellos. Enjoy your adventure! And remember, stay hydrated. Gotta stay healthy while hunting those cute sea slugs!
