How To Get Alexander For Fire Giant

Want to team up with a super-cool warrior named Alexander? He's a friendly, pot-headed dude who's surprisingly good in a fight. And he's incredibly useful when taking down the fiery Fire Giant. Seriously, who wouldn’t want a pot-friend to help with that?

First things first, you've got to find him! He's not exactly hiding, but you do need to know where to look. Our journey begins in Limgrave, the starting area of the game.

Limgrave Lockup

Head towards Stormhill. Keep your eyes peeled and ears open, because Alexander is stuck in a hole. Yep, a big ol' hole. You'll hear him shouting for help. Who wouldn't shout if they were stuck in a hole?

He's pretty wedged in there. To get him out, you’ll need to give him a good whack on the butt with a weapon. Don't worry, he's into it! Just a few whacks will set him free.

After you free Alexander from his earthen prison, chat with him. He'll thank you, maybe crack a joke, and generally be a good egg (or pot, in this case).

Redmane Castle Rendezvous

Next stop, Redmane Castle! This place is a bit of a shindig before a big fight. Alexander will be there. He’s prepping for the Radahn fight.

Before you go to the festival make sure you talk to Warped Diallos first at the Roundtable Hold. Exhaust his dialogue.

Find Alexander amongst the other warriors. Talk to him again. He'll be excited to see you and ready to rumble with Radahn!

Caelid Combat

Now comes the fun part! Help defeat Starscourge Radahn! Summon Alexander during the fight. He’s a great help, even though he might get squashed a few times. Don't worry, he can take it! This fight is a blast, with loads of allies joining the fray.

After Radahn is defeated, find Alexander on the battlefield. He'll be digging around in the sand, looking for… well, stuff. Talk to him one more time after the fight!

Liurnia Lagoon

You'll find Alexander next in Liurnia of the Lakes, specifically near Jarburg. He'll be in a similar situation as before, stuck in another hole. Seriously, does this guy attract holes or what?

Use an Oil Pot to lubricate the area around him. Then, give him another whack to set him free. He'll be grateful, as always.

Mt. Gelmir Gambit

Head to Mt. Gelmir. He'll be hanging out in the lava. Yes, lava. He's a tough pot! You'll find him chilling out in the lava flow, taking a lava bath.

He wants to become stronger and tougher, so he's forging himself in the fires of Mt. Gelmir. Talk to him here.

Crumbling Farum Azula Finale

Finally, we're getting closer to that fiery giant! Alexander will be waiting for you in Crumbling Farum Azula. It's a pretty intense zone, so be prepared for a fight.

He's near the Dragon Temple Lift Site of Grace, ready for his final battle. This is important: after defeating a certain boss (a big dragon!) in Farum Azula, backtrack to find Alexander. He'll challenge you to a duel!

This might sound sad but it's also super cool. He wants to test his strength against you. Defeat him in glorious combat. He won't be mad. Instead, he will give you Alexander's Innards and Shard of Alexander.

With that item in hand, summon Alexander for the Fire Giant fight! He'll be a formidable ally, helping you take down the big guy with fire in its eyes!
