Okay, fellow trainers, let's be real. We’ve all been there. That shiny new Pokemon GO event drops. Hype is through the roof. Everyone’s bragging on social media. Except... you. You're stuck in the digital wilderness, seeing absolutely nothing but Pidgeys and Rattata. This time, it's the elusive Seven Colored Shadow, and its no where to be seen.

I'm starting to think my account is secretly blacklisted. Did I catch too many Community Day Shinies? Is Niantic punishing me for complaining about the price of Incubators? The suspense is agonizing! I walk, I spin, I complete tasks. Nada. Zilch. Just the cold, uncaring stare of Professor Willow reminding me I still need to purify that shadow Zubat.

Either they’re exceptionally good at hiding, or they’ve unionized and demanded better working conditions – including decent coffee breaks.

I’ve checked all the usual spots. Parks? Clean. Shopping centers? Pristine. Even the dodgy back alley behind the laundromat is suspiciously devoid of villainous activity. Are they avoiding me? Is my avatar radiating some kind of anti-Rocket energy? My clothes aren’t even particularly flashy!

Maybe Giovanni is secretly plotting something HUGE. Maybe he's gathering all the Shadow Pokemon in one location, for one final, devastating attack! Or... maybe the game is just bugging out on me. Either option feels equally plausible at this point.

Unpopular Opinion: Maybe It's Not All That Great?

Okay, brace yourselves. Here’s a potentially controversial thought: maybe this Seven Colored Shadow Pokemon isn’t even that amazing? Hear me out! We get so caught up in the hype that we forget to ask ourselves: do we really need another powerful Shadow monster to obsess over?

I mean, my current Shadow lineup is already pretty formidable. Do I really need to spend countless hours grinding to power up yet another one? I could be doing other things! Like... uh... reorganizing my item bag for the tenth time today? Or maybe finally learning how to properly pronounce "deoxyribonucleic acid."

But, seriously, maybe we should all take a deep breath and remember that it's just a game. A fun, addictive, occasionally frustrating game. And if the Seven Colored Shadow decides to skip my town, well, so be it. There are plenty of other pixels in the sea!
