How To Make A New Overwatch Account

So, you wanna jump back into the Overwatch fray, huh? Maybe your main account's SR is giving you a headache. Or maybe you just want to try out that hero without the pressure. No judgment here!
First, you're gonna need to fire up your trusty web browser. Any browser will do, really. Even Internet Explorer, if you're feeling particularly retro.
Head over to the official Battle.net website. You know, the home base for all things Blizzard. It's usually pretty easy to find.

Making the Magic Happen
Now, look for the "Create a Free Account" button. It might be hiding somewhere, disguised as something boring. But trust me, it's there. Persist!
Click on it with the fervent hope of a Lucio main spotting a perfectly wall-rideable surface. You're almost there.
Brace yourself! It's time for the dreaded form. Don't worry, it's not that bad. Just a few basic details.
Birthday Shenanigans
They're gonna ask for your birthday. Pick a date. Any date. Okay, maybe pick a date that makes you at least 13. Legal stuff, you know?
Enter your first and last name. It doesn't have to be your real name. But maybe avoid something too embarrassing. Future you will thank you.
And the most crucial part, your country. Select your current residence. No need to get too creative here.

Email Escapades
Now for the email address. This is where things get interesting. You'll need an email address that's not already associated with a Battle.net account.
This might be where things get slightly…complicated. Got a spare email lying around? Maybe that old Hotmail account you haven't touched in years?
Or, and hear me out, consider creating a new one just for this purpose. There are plenty of free email providers out there. Think Gmail or Outlook.
Password Pandemonium
Choose a super-duper, ultra-secure password. Something that even Sombra couldn't hack. But also something you can actually remember.
Write it down somewhere safe. Or, you know, use a password manager. They're pretty handy these days.
Repeat the password to confirm it. Just to make sure you didn't accidentally type "p@sswOrd123" instead of "P@$$wOrd123!".

BattleTag Bonanza
Now comes the fun part: your BattleTag. This is your in-game name. Choose wisely.
It's gotta be cool, catchy, and maybe a little bit intimidating. Or hilarious. Your call.
Check its availability. Sadly, "GenjiMain4Lyfe" might already be taken. Try something a little more original.
Security Scrimmage
They'll probably ask you some security questions. You know, "What's your mother's maiden name?" or "What was the name of your first pet?"
Answer them honestly. Unless you're trying to be extra sneaky. Then, by all means, get creative. Just remember your answers!
Review the terms and conditions. Or, you know, just scroll to the bottom and click "Accept." We all do it.

Prove you're not a robot. Unless you are a robot. In that case, good luck with the Turing test.
Downloading Destiny
Download the Battle.net desktop app. It's the launcher that lets you access all your Blizzard games.
Install it. Follow the instructions. It's pretty straightforward.
Log in with your new account credentials. You're in!
Purchase Overwatch. If you don't already own it, of course. Sadly, it's not free-to-play. Yet.
Download and install Overwatch. This might take a while, depending on your internet speed. Go grab a snack.

Fire up the game! Choose your hero. Maybe try someone new. Embrace the chaos!
A Word of Warning (Maybe)
Creating multiple accounts can be frowned upon in some circles. Especially if you're using them to gain an unfair advantage.
So, play fair. Be respectful. And have fun! That's what it's all about, right?
Now go forth and conquer! Or, you know, just mess around in quick play. Your choice.
And remember, it's just a game. Don't take it too seriously. Unless you're trying to go pro. Then, by all means, sweat it out.
Happy gaming!
My (unpopular) opinion: Alt accounts are fine, as long as you're not a jerk about it! Let the downranking commence!
